What is Dering Hall?

Dering Hall is an online marketplace for the finest interior designers, architects, landscape architects, artisans, and design dealers to showcase their work and sell new, high-end home furnishings and accessories. At Dering Hall we are passionate about design and broadening the audience for the best the industry has to offer. Our ongoing mission is to assemble a community of the world’s leading creators in one place and to connect them with other designers and savvy, sophisticated consumers.

We provide our roster of top talent with permanent storefronts, where they present a curated assortment of products to highly engaged shoppers. These customers, in turn, gain access to unique pieces previously available only to select designer clients. It’s an entirely new approach to furnishing a home—and one that makes hunting for that perfect bespoke sideboard a dynamic and enjoyable experience.

Buyers can effortlessly browse Dering Hall’s storefronts, search product listings, or keep up to date on favorite designers with our innovative “Follow” function. We also offer select products available for purchase on the site as well as a range of compelling and inspiring design content.

How do I become a registered Dering Hall user?

To become a registered user of Dering Hall, click on “Register” in the top right-hand corner of the website and complete the form. You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been created.

What are the benefits of registration?

As a registered member, you are able to follow your favorite designers, add and save Dering Hall products from throughout the site, and receive our weekly Dering Hall newsletter.

How do I showcase my products or design services on Dering Hall?

Our members are the most sought-after home furnishing brands, design galleries, artisans, interior designers, architects, and landscape architects in the world. To inquire about becoming a Dering Hall member, please email membership@deringhall.com.

How do I save products?

If you are signed into your Dering Hall account, click the “Add product to my selections” link on the product detail page or click the (+) sign that appears when you hover over a product on a main Products page. Products will remain in your list until you remove them. (You can remove products by clicking the minus sign (-) that appears on the image in your Selected Products list or by managing your list under “My Product Selections” in top left hand corner.)

How do I share products with friends?

You can share products with friends by using our “Email this item” function on a product’s detail page. Simply click on the link, enter in the required fields and any message you would like to include, and an email will be sent to your friend with the product information and a link to view it on deringhall.com.

How do I “Follow” Designers?

If you have a Dering Hall account, you can click the “Follow” button on the main storefront page of the Designer you wish to follow. You can view the entire list of Designers you are following by clicking the “Designers I’m Following” link in the top left-hand corner of the website. (You can stop following a Designer by clicking the “Unfollow” link on their page or in your “Designers I’m Following” list).

How do I contact a Designer?

To contact a Designer, click on the “Contact” link on the Designer’s main storefront page. You can inquire about a product details and have access to their expert knowledge.

How do I place an order with a Designer?

To place an order select “Inquire about this product” on any product page to send the Designer an inquiry or you can click the “Contact” link on the Designer’s main storefront page. The Designer’s phone number, address, and website is also listed. The Designer will handle all aspects of your purchase, including answering product questions, reviewing custom options, shipping, returns, and refunds. Note: Dering Hall assumes no responsibility for products purchased through Designer storefronts. It does not review or endorse the policies of individual Designers, nor will Dering Hall intervene in disputes between the Designer and Dering Hall users.

What is Buy Online and how do I participate?

Located on the homepage, Buy Online products are hand-selected pieces by the designer that are available to be purchased directly from Dering Hall through the website.

Will I get a confirmation of my purchase?

Yes, an email will be sent to the email address you provide when completing the purchase.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

Can I change or cancel an existing order?

You can notify Dering Hall of changes to or cancellations of an order within 24 hours of original order date. Unfortunately we cannot accept changes or cancellation after 24 hours. To notify Dering Hall of desired changes or cancellations, please email featuredsales@deringhall.com.

What kind of delivery service does Dering Hall offer?

For all large items, Dering Hall uses a white-glove shipping service. For smaller items, we offer service through UPS.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship anywhere in the United States. Residents of AK and HI who would like to purchase large furniture items should contact featuredsales@deringhall.com to complete their order. Smaller items can be shipped to AK and HI via UPS.

What is the charge for shipping?

Shipping charges depend on the products’ size and weight, and the delivery distance. Shipping is calculated automatically and is included in your order total.

How long will it take for my products to arrive?

Each of the products in your order has an associated lead-time stated in the product description. Shipping takes an additional 10-14 days, depending on location.

Why do my products have different delivery times and rates?

Buy Online products are shipped directly from the Designer, so depending on where the items are coming from and going to, parts of your order may arrive separately and have different costs.

How can I contact the shipping service?

This information will be included in your order confirmation.

My order is later than expected. What should I do?

Please contact featuredsales@deringhall.com and include your order number and details in the message.

Can I return an item?

Only items marked “eligible for return” are returnable. You must notify Dering Hall at featuredsales@deringhall.com within 24 hours of receipt if you would like to return your purchase. It must be returned within 10 business days to the address it was shipped from, in original condition and packaging, using the company that delivered the item. You are responsible for these shipping costs.

Can I exchange an item?

We’re sorry, but at this time we cannot accept exchanges on items purchased through Dering Hall’s Buy Online program.

When will I be refunded for my return?

If an item is received within the designated time in its original condition, you can expect to be refunded within 30 days. No credits or exchanges are offered.

I received the wrong order. What do I do?

Please contact featuredsales@deringhall.com. Please include your order number in the message.

What if my product arrives damaged?

We recommend that all merchandise be inspected immediately upon receipt. Do not accept any shipment that shows damage. If you find damages on your purchased items, please take a photo of the damage and notify Dering Hall at within 24 hours of receipt of item at featuredsales@deringhall.com and Dering Hall will inform you of the procedure for filing a claim. Please retain all original packing materials and the damaged merchandise until you receive instructions.
