Interior Designer
“My favorite part of each project is building a relationship with my client, and creating a unique environment that truly reflects them but is constantly evolving as their needs and interests change over time. ”
Biography
Whether the project is new construction, a renovation, or simply adding new layers to an existing space, Scott Sanders’ passion for interior design can be found through every step of the design process. His love of color, line and classic proportions is seen in every space that he designs, but his ability to listen to the client’s needs and desires for the project, and tailor the environment so that it truly reflects them, is what his clients have come to rely on. The end results are spaces that are elegant but approachable, and completely unique to the homeowner.
Sanders’ founded his New York City and Hamptons based residential interior design firm, Scott Sanders LLC, in 2000. Central to his design philosophy is the fact that Sanders’ attends every meeting with the client and is ‘hands on’ in his involvement with all aspects project. This coupled with his staff’s attention to detail and careful organization of each project ensures that every installation is successful
Sanders’ remarkable portfolio includes homes in New York City, the Hamptons, New Jersey, Colorado, Florida, Arizona and the Caribbean. Many of these projects can be found on the pages of prominent publications such as New York Spaces, The New York Times, Veranda, House & Garden, House Beautiful, & HC&G. While his current project list includes many new clients, more than two thirds of his client base is made up of repeat customers who have come to trust his vision and allowing him a free hand with their initial inspiration.
In April 2010, Pointed Leaf Press published Picture Perfect: Designing the New American Family Home, an innovative book that documents Sanders’ inspired youth, his accomplished career, and a project that represents the culmination of a four year adventure in interior design and catalogs in detail the myriad of choices that transform an empty house into a wonderfully functional family home.
